Personality:
Some might call Galahad a breath of fresh air, others are probably more inclined to think that he’s the biggest idiot who ever walked the planet (though nobody would say this to his face, however). A more fitting description overall may be “unflappably idealistic”. Galahad was raised in a rather sheltered environment and thus has a somewhat unrealistically optimistic view on what people and the world are like and how they should be, to the point where it often seems like his head’s stuck in the clouds while everyone else is left to muddle about in the real world. His cheerful and kind demeanor is often infectious however, and he has a sort of quiet determination about him that served him well throughout his schooling. He’s also quite spiritual, and very firm in his religious beliefs but he isn’t pushy of them, disliking the whole idea of “converting” those who don’t believe in the things he does. Tolerance and coexistence, he believes, is the key. Generally he prefers to avoid confrontation and violence whenever he can, but if a situation comes to it he’ll deal with it quickly and sternly. It’s quite difficult to push him to anger because he has a tendency to bottle and push down such emotions—however this occasionally backfires in some situations, with abrupt and startling fury.
History:
The youngest of five children, Galahad and his siblings were born in a wealthy estate near Slateport City, Hoenn, where their father was the head of a thriving trade business that shipped a variety of goods in and out of the bustling seaport. “Arthur” Acharya grew up in very poor conditions, so he made sure to provide his family with nothing but the best when it came to education and future opportunities. While his siblings studied in the medical field or apprenticed in their father’s business, young Galahad studied religion (being particularly interested in the theology of Arceus) and scientific research, being particularly interested in the bonds that can form between humans and their pokemon partners. When Galahad wasn’t quite 16 the family shifted its roots to Verot, his father having decided to leave the Slateport business in the capable hands of his eldest son and start afresh in another region. Arthur established the family in the Forest and now has a hand in mediating trade between the Biomes, the whole family thriving in the generally peaceful, culturally-oriented atmosphere of Verot. Now finished with his schooling, Galahad has brought his dreams to fruition and now travels about the region studying the behavior of its inhabitants.

Additional Notes:
* His father is a huge fan of Arthurian legend (hence his nickname). Galahad and his siblings Gawain, Gareth, Guinnevere, and Nimue can attest to this.
* Galahad’s back and shoulders are marked with heavy scarring from being mauled by an Absol in his early 20s. He was partnered with Danielle soon after that for protection and while he’s gotten over his initial wariness of her, he still holds a healthy respect and fear of Absols.
* For a time he thought to become a priest, but the move to Verot pushed him farther into the scientific field instead. He’s still deeply religious however, and still wears an Arceus ring pendant on a necklace at all times.
* Due to his schooling he usually speaks with a cultured mid-Johtoan (English) accent, but occasionally he’ll revert back to his native southern Hoennite speech (Indian accent, sometimes he’ll speak in Hindi if he’s particularly excited/stressed/upset).
Battle Tactics: Highly defensive/evasive, prefers not to use force unless absolutely necessary. Prefers a quick end to the battle when force IS necessary.

Short History: Galahad's first pokemon, Esther was taken from her nest while still quite young and remembers very little of her life before she was given to her human friend as a birthday gift (Arthur had found her among many other "exotic" imported pokemon being sold at a stall in Slateport's market and had taken pity on the poor little thing). It didn't take long for her to warm up to Galahad's gentle nature, as even at the rambunctious age of 10 the boy was a bit more light-handed than most. They quickly developed a very deep and lasting mental bond, and it's common for the two to experience one another's thoughts/feelings/emotions (usually unconsciously). Esther was the original inspiration for Galahad's interest in pokemon/human relationships, and she's been an inseparable research companion and friend ever since.

Short History: Luke is only pokemon that Galahad has ever truly caught (though everyone else who knows him will tell you that "caught" is probably an exaggeration)--while making his way home from a trip to some of the Nature Trails one evening he accidentally startled a family group of Gogoat. Most of them bounded into the woods when Galahad made a point that he was backing away, but one young Skiddo was particularly insistent on seeing him off and ended up following him the rest of the way home and then refused to leave. Luke came to love domestic life and all the free meals and head scratches that came with it, even if he does have a habit of causing Galahad problems with his impish nature (favorite activities include eating various pieces of clothing, shedding EVERYWHERE, and leaving "jellybeans" in inconvenient places). Galahad hopes to train him to be a mount when he evolves, though Luke will likely have other ideas.

Short History: Another gift to Galahad from his father, though this time with much more serious intent. At the age of 24 Galahad was badly injured when a study went badly wrong and the Absol he was working with attacked. Greatly concerned for his son's further safety, Arthur began to ask around for a companion that could provide better physical protection than the rest of Galahad's team. Help ended up coming in the form of an enormous female Luxray that had been found sick and dying from infected wounds in the Desert. Her pride had been nowhere to be found but she clearly missed her family desperately, as even when she recovered from the infection she was still listless and depressed. Arthur knew that both the lioness and his son could benefit from one another's company and while it took some time for the Luxray to get used to life with humans she seemed to take a shining to Galahad, perhaps stirred by maternal instinct upon seeing an injured, weaker being. Galahad was understandably afraid of her at first, but over time and with a lot of gentle coaxing he came to trust her as much as he does Esther. Danielle (so-called because Galahad thought she was male at first and dubbed her "Daniel" until he realized his mistake) is fiercely protective of her new-found family and while she will try to drive offenders away with intimidation tactics first, she won't hesitate to resort to fatal force if necessary. Due to her great size she'll sometimes even allow Galahad to ride her over distances too great for walking, generally a terrifying experience but something he secretly takes pride in nonetheless.
